busy, busy, busy

A lot has happened since I last logged on. My Grandpa Walls came home from China where he has been for almost a year. My mom was so excited I thought she would pee her pants. Grandpa Walls thinks that I am pretty cute; he was also very impressed with my new outfit - a Roughrider windsuit. He brought me a pair of Chinese pajamas that are way too big but boy are they cute. When they finally fit, I'll take a picture of me wearing them.

Mom, Dad and Grandpa went to this country music festival called Craven Country Jamboree. Mom wanted to see Carrie Underwood and she thought she was fabulous...Grandpa liked Big and Rich and Reba McEntire. I had to stay with my Aunty Vaunda as Craven is no place for babies.

I am constantly changing and Mom notices new stuff all the time. I will squeal if I see something I like and I am picking up anything in front of me. Grandma Walls bought me a Gainer toy that is sewn onto a piece of yellow fleece and that is my favorite - I play with it all the time. I sit in a chair that rocks back and forth and it has a tray on it for things I like to play with. Mom can't believe it but my feet can touch the floor just enough to get a little movement.

I have a nasty cold right now and have not always felt very good but Mom says that I have been pretty good considering. I am starting to have a regular routine. I usually go to bed at 900 at night and I don't really fuss much; sometimes I cry but Mom and Dad let me cry and I fall asleep pretty quickly. I get up around 530-600 in the morning and drink a lot (almost 6 oz) and then go back to sleep until about 830. I play with Mom and my toys until about 1030-1100; I then sleep - sometimes for only 45 minutes but sometimes about 2 hours. I also sleep around 400 for about an hour. If I don't get my sleep, Mom calls me "crabby pants" and end up in bed earlier because I am soooo tired.

Grandpa, Mom and Dad have been very busy around the house this week. They put laminate in the living room, my room and the hallway. Mom loves the new floors and I must admit my room looks really nice. Grandpa left here for a couple weeks; he's going to Chaplin and then going to see my cousins Jaxon and Jada in Medicine Hat (they got a new house in June) but when he gets back they are going to finish Mom and Dad's room, the office and the stairs...then all the upstairs will be done except the kitchen and the bathroom.

I am going to go. I am very sleepy and need a nap.

How do you like me in my bikini???

I am going to be 3 months tomorrow...where does the time go? I am talking lots now - I babble all the time - on the change table, in my chair, in my crib...doesn't really matter where. I hear talking a lot comes naturally in my family??? I push things around on my tray on my chair and sometimes grab them; I grab Mom's necklace and sometimes even get her hair.

I rolled over from my tummy to my right side when Mom wasn't looking. Then Mom went to get the digital camera to take a short video and I rolled over to my left side before she got back..then I didn't do it again...Mom and Dad want to to get a camcorder so that they can take videos of me as I am quite entertaining.
I weigh almost 10 lbs now and inches long...I guess I am still kinda small (weightwise) for my age but I am right where I should be for height so that's good. I wear mostly 3-6 months stuff now. Mom and Grandma Walls went shopping and found me some really cute stuff for "going into town"

Boy have I been busy...this is my first chance to log in and type in what seems like quite a while. Last Friday my Grandpa and Grandma Martel, Uncle Mike and my cousin Amy came out to our house for a BBQ and to watch the Rider game...which we won...yeah Riders.

Then on Saturday, Dad took me to Katepwa Lake all day and hung out with his friends and Mom had the whole day to herself. She didn't know what to do with herself she said; she hasn't had a day without me since I was born. She relaxed and got ready for her friend Shorty's stagette (with Aunty Vaunda).

I went for my first dip in a pool this afternoon; I was a little grumpy until Mom figured out I was hungry...then once I was fed I loved the pool. I kicked and kicked and kicked...almost an hour Mom and I spent in the pool. It was fun and Mom said we will probably go once a week.

My Grandpa Walls comes home from China (after almost a year) on Wed next week and he hasn't met me in person yet so that should be fun. He gets in at almost midnight so I may not be totally awake but we'll see. Grandma Walls has looked after me a couple of times and I am behaving pretty good; she looks after me when Dad isn't home and Mom needs to be somewhere and she can't keep an eye on me. Uncle Mark and Aunty Tammy are coming out for a wedding this weekend and so are my cousins Jax and Jada.

I should go...I am pretty hungry after my busy day and Mom is going to fix up my bottle.
